Morning Skincare Routine

Hello, Beauties! Happy Hump Day!

Today, I am going to let you in on my morning skincare routine, as well as, some tips that have helped with my oily skin.
When I wake up in the morning my skin normally already has some oil on it and has a glow going. I want my morning skincare routine to rebalance and clear out that excess sebum that my skin has produced during the night and start my day off fresh and clean. So let’s dive right in!

First off cleanser! In the morning I want to use gentle products on my skin that will help me feeling revived and fresh to start my day. The cleanser that I have been using for the past month and have loved, is the Glow Recipe’s Blueberry Bounce Gentle Cleanser. This cleanser is super gentle and effective on my skin and such a fun smelling product! Who doesn’t like smelling like blueberries?

As an oily girl, using a cleanser strips your skin of your natural oils. That’s good, you don’t want it to clog your pores. However, if you don’t tone and rebalance your skin’s pH levels after you have cleansed, your skin can go into overdrive and produce more oils. So, PLEASE, at least tone and moistures after cleansing!

Then toning! I use Thayers Witch Hazel Facial Toner with Rose Petals to tone my skin and rebalance those pH levels to make my skin happy. Now, because I also love essential oils, I also add 1 tsp of jojoba oil and 5 drops of tea tree, lavender, and frankincense oils to the Witch Hazel toner. All of those oils are really good for your facial skin.

After toning, I go in with Derma-E Ance Blemish Control Treatment Serum. The active ingredient in this serum is Salicylic Acid. It is so gentle and effective! I was trying a couple of different serums along with this one and kept going back to this one over and over. I have been using this for a couple of months and can see the results! 🙂

Under eyes! UGH, so my under eye area is a struggle for me. It is very sensitive, has wrinkles, and dark circles. What I use when I feel like my under eye is really struggling that day, is Dermalogica Age Smart Multivitamin Power Firm under eye treatment. It has never irritated my eyes and has done wonderful under makeup. I really like this stuff!

Moisturizer! This part is one of the most important parts of my skincare routine for my skin. I want my skin to feel really supple, glowing, and moisturized without looking greasy or getting greasy quickly. So what has worked for me is using a couple of drops of Youth to the People’s Superberry Hydrate and Glow oil mixed into a dime-sized amount of Glow Recipe’s Banana Souffle Moisture Cream. This combo is a dream team!! Talk about Team Work makes the Dream Work! This gives my skin the moisture that it needs without making my greasy! If you have not tried these and you have oily skin, you definitely should try it! On a more hot and humid day, I would just stick with using one or fewer drops of oil. For the colder months, this combo has been a skin saver.

Well, there you have it! My oily skincare morning routine! I hope you find this useful and that you try out some of the products! I know every skin is different so one of these products might work better than some of the others, but I hope you give them a try and that you let me know what worked for you!

XOXO,
Dinah
