Working Out at Home

Hello Beauties! Today I am hopping on to talk to you about working out at home. I am going to talk to you about some resources that I use that are FREE to workout at home and my workout schedule.

So in this time of unorganization it is really easy to stop working out. I had been doing a really good job of working out 4-6 times a week, but during  spring break I had the flu and couldn’t physically work out. So off the band wagon I fell.

So next week came around and I was like okay Dinah you got this fresh week, you can do this! And so I did, I worked out 3 times that week. Not as much as I normally do, but definitely better than nothing. Then last week, I was determined to work out at least 4 days, so I did. Here are some tips to keep you motivated and on track.

Tip Number 1) You need to set a time and DO IT if you want to work out. The hardest part is starting, but if you remind youself of how you feel after working out it is a great motivator to start!

Tip Number 2) Also put on some music! I have been jamming to Lizzo during my workouts and it definitely keeps me pumped up!

Tip Number 3) Do workouts that are fun for you! I love doing yoga, walking/jogging, dancing, and body weight excersizes. If you enjoy it you will definitely be more likely to do it!

Now for some resources. Youtube and Instagram, and an App, that isn’t free but it is a one time installment of $1.99, are my main sources of workout.

I like to do Yoga on Friday/Saturday as my active recovery day(s). I use Yoga with Adrianne and follow one of her many 30 day challenges. Such great stretch and workouts! She also has workouts for how you are feeling that day and specific workouts to help with everything!

On Monday and Wednesday, I like to do some sort of HIIT workout. High Intensity Interval Training workouts are some of my favorite workouts to do! I burn a lot of calories in a short amount of time and don’t feel like I am dying during it. So for this I use multiple resources. Group HIIT is a Youtube Channel that I use, it has playlists by time, ability level, target areas. It is a really great resources that is easy to follow along. FHYTbysierra Instagram and Youtube Channel, are great resources also for great quallity workouts. I would say her instagram more than her youtube channel, because she posts more on her instagram than her youtube. Rebeccabroxfit Instagram is also a great resource for these types of workouts.

On Tuesday and Thursday, I like to go for a 30/45 minute walk or jog. If I am going to jog, I use the Couch to 5K App. It is a program for everyone. I hate running, but I recognize that it is a good tool for you to lose weight or get/stay healthy. So I try to do this both days. Since I have had the flu I haven’t used the program, but I am going to try to start using it again next week! It really is a great tool to help you pace yourself and really run.
